Birmingham, Alabama. Storms are gone. In their wake comes a cooler, cloud-filled weekend.

Let me start off by saying that there won’t be any more severe weather this weekend. In fact, I don’t expect any more severe weather through the length of the 7-day forecast. Now that doesn’t mean the weather will always be nice. In fact, I think most folks will be rather disappointed by the weather over this weekend. An upper-level disturbance will move overhead this weekend. That means cloud skies for all of Saturday, and probably just about all of Sunday as well. I am not looking for any heavy or persistent rain, but there will be a few sprinkles tonight, and some intermittent showers on Saturday. And there may be an additional shower or two Saturday night and Sunday. All those clouds will limit solar heating, and as a result temperatures will be held to the low and middle 50’s Saturday, and Sunday will be only a couple of degrees higher. Those same clouds will prevent much heat loss at night, so lows will be generally near 40. Monday and Tuesday will offer brighter and somewhat warnmer weather.
